Rent the Runway Spring Collection Preview
Last Tuesday I had a special invitation to preview the new Spring Rent the Runway collection. I’ve mentioned before what a big fan I am of this website, whenever I have a special occasion coming up it’s my go to place to get designer dresses within my budget. Not to mention, it was so much fun to hang with the lovely ladies from The Dream Team Agency and meet some of the Rent the Runway team from NYC for an afternoon of fashion at the Cardozo Hotel.
Let’s start with the accessories. Hello Chanel, Judith Leiber, Kenneth Jay Lane! Looks like evenings with spring will be lined with sparkles! This is a stunning Judith Leiber clutch, it was very heavy and could double as a sophisticated handbag/dangerous weapon. Either way, I want to rent it ($275)
Next up is this gorgeous necklace and cuff to add sparkle to any red carpet gown. The best part is that the rental prices for most of their pieces are less and $100. Tres chic (and affordable!)
One of the more classic pieces that were in the preview was this elegant quilted Chanel handbag. if you can’t buy it, rent it for a fraction of the retail price. ($400)
As far as the dresses, everything was straight from the runways. Lots of colorful Trina Turk, Elizabeth and James and other gems. What I love about Rent the Runway the most is that it’s like borrowing something amazing from your very stylish, rich friend’s closet.
To complement the beautiful clothes, bags and jewelry, the delicious Paulina’s Pops were on site passing out their tasty treat. My Mexican Chocolate pop was spicy and sweet! If you want to get a taste for yourself follow them at @Paulinaspops.
The ladies from Rent the Runway were lovely hosts. And trust me, the next time you need something fabulous to wear just go renttherunway.com, it beats hours in the fitting room at the mall!
